Hello friends,
Sorry that I don't have any pictures this time, but my mom and dad are still trying to get the internet figured out. I wanted to let you know that I'm starting to like Vietnamese food, especially the fried spring rolls and the grilled meat that we can buy at little food stalls along the street.
I went riding on a motorcycle. In Vietnam, they use them as taxis, and they call them "xe om" (which is pronounced "say ohm"). I sat between the driver and my dad, and I was kind of scared at first, but then it was fun. I think I'll do it again sometime.
Please feel free to respond to my blog, or else you can e-mail me at my dad's e-mail address: mrice@sjfc.edu
Love, your friend,
Hudson

Hi Hudson..
Am glad to hear you are beginning to like Vietnamese food. Spring rolls are my FAVORITE! What fun to ride on a motorcycle with your Dad. We had some snow fall here in Richland yesterday. Wish we could send you some as it sounds HOT where you are living.

Dear Hudson,
What's your nanny's name and is it a boy or a girl? How does the vietnemese food taste because it sounds yummy. How was your night? Is your day fun? Hey Hudson, this is what I did today.... I went to school and when I went to school, we went to Gym and guess what we did -- we used a parachute and we made a jelly doughnut out of it and all you had to do was go up and down and let go and it moved a little bit. It was fun. We're practicing tumbling. We learned a new tumble today. It's really hard. All you have to do is go down in a handy tuck position and then put your chin to your chest and then without letting your chest move, you rollover. You have to leave your legs together. Maybe you and Lily can try it with your new nanny. Tomorrow I'll save a piece of cookie cake for you and I have a poster for you. I miss you.

Hi Hudson:
We miss you! Thank you for your Happy New Year card. You are still our friend. We have a lot of snow now. We hope you are having a great time. We enjoyed seeing your pictures and learning about life in Vietnam. Today is Maeve's birthday and she is thinking of you during her celebration. We have classroom news, Caleb's mom is pregnant. Dillon lost 2 teeth in January. Kody and Jacob lost 1 tooth. We are learning to write numbers to 20. We are counting to 100 as we get close to the 100th Day of School. Please write back to us. We would love to hear from you.
Love, Your friends, Mrs. Ewanow & Mrs. Hoyt XO
We tried to send this to you earlier, but didn't do it right so Mrs. Curry had to help us.

Dear Hudson and Lily,
Maeve's birthday was really fun. It didn't seem the same as it was last year or the years before that because you weren't there. Last
night we were having pizza hut pizza and Maeve started crying like crazy because she didn't want pepperoni on her pizza so my mom tiredly pulled the pepperoni off the pizza. And then she took a couple of bite's and said that it was the best pizza ever. It was really funny. A minute ago she was sceaming because my mom was kissing her so my mom stopped. then she said "mama why did you stop kissing me?" And my mom said, "becasue you were screaming a few minutes ago." And my sister said, "No I wasn't." And that went on for a couple of minutes. We miss you. I'm running over to your house with my mom to get your bike helmets. I hope you guys are having a lot of fun.
Love,
Savoy
